Common questions

Can I track my fax?

Yes. Every accepted fax gets a status page. Use its link, or sign in and open Account > Fax History. Delivery email is available when requested. Failure and final-confirmation-pending notices remain enabled. Public status pages show customer-safe delivery details without exposing the full destination, carrier diagnostics, or document contents. If the result is unclear or changes unexpectedly, do not resend. Contact hello@faxdrop.com for help.

My fax says Queued. What does that mean?

The carrier accepted the fax request, but FaxDrop does not have a final outcome yet. Check the status page for updates. Do not resend while the status is queued or unresolved because that could create a duplicate fax.

My fax has been pending for a while. What do I do?

Let it run. You do not need to keep this page open. Return to the status page for the latest supported result. Delivered-email confirmation follows the preference set when the fax was sent. Failure and final-confirmation-pending notices stay enabled. Large documents can take longer to transmit. Do not resend while the outcome remains unresolved. Contact hello@faxdrop.com if you need help reviewing it.

Will I be notified if my fax fails?

Yes. FaxDrop sends failure and final-confirmation-pending email notices. Successful-delivery email follows the preference set when the fax was sent. If the carrier reports a busy or unreachable line, it may retry before returning a final failure. If the result remains unclear, do not resend until support helps confirm the outcome.

How can I verify what was sent?

Use the status page to review the page count, displayed status, timestamp, and customer-safe confirmation details. Signed-in customers can also open Account > Fax History for recent status links. Delivery and failure emails identify the destination only by its last four digits and never include a raw fax ID or bearer status link. The status record does not serve as a copy of the original document.

My fax has a lot of pages. How long will it take?

Large documents can take longer to transmit. FaxDrop does not promise a fixed completion time. Use the status page for the latest supported result. Do not resend while the outcome remains unresolved. Contact hello@faxdrop.com if you need help reviewing it.

My fax failed. What should I do?

After FaxDrop records a confirmed carrier failure, check that the recipient number includes the area code and reaches a dedicated fax line. You can then try a new send. A one-time page error is not enough to confirm failure. Contact us before resending if the result is unclear.

I used my 2 free faxes. Can I get more?

The free plan resets on the 1st of each calendar month. Free sends are capped at 5 pages including the FaxDrop cover page. Paid credits and subscription credits cover up to 10 uploaded pages per credit. Subscription plans reset on your billing anniversary: the same day of the month you first subscribed. You can also buy credits with no expiration or subscribe for a monthly allotment. See our pricing page for options.

How do I get a refund?

When FaxDrop records a confirmed failure, it restores the exact monthly and purchased credits deducted for that fax. An unresolved status does not trigger an automatic credit return. Contact hello@faxdrop.com if the outcome remains unresolved.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Sign in, go to your dashboard, and click Manage Billing. You can cancel anytime. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

I need Business Associate Agreement (BAA) information.

FaxDrop supports healthcare fax workflows through a fax carrier with a signed BAA. Broader vendor BAA coverage remains under review, so FaxDrop does not currently make a full product-level HIPAA compliance claim. Email hello@faxdrop.com for current documentation before sending protected health information.

What file types can I send?

PDF, JPG, and PNG. Maximum file size is 4 MB. Export Word documents as PDF first.

Do you store my documents?

FaxDrop retains operational and status records described in the privacy policy. Product-level document-handling verification remains part of the broader compliance review. Request current documentation before sending protected health information.
